In search of a pre-work hike to a new place, I searched around the Sultan Basin for something that might have decent views. Baby Blue seemed to fit the bill.
The ascent is made entirely on logging roads (there was no active logging this morning), but you actually get some nice views from the road out to the Skykomish River Valley and Puget Sound, as well as peek-a-boo views toward Vesper Peak.
This would be considered a dumpster dive by some, but I actually had great conditions, with a half-inch of snow blanketing the top few hundred feet and a pretty sunbeam shining through as the sun rose. I was happy with my choice for a pre-work adventure, getting back to my car in less than an hour and a half.
Final Stats: 5.43 miles, 1312 feet of gain
